1.  Are they owner operated? 

This is very simple.  Since I clean the carpets, you get someone with a vested interest in building a long lasting business providing your service.  An Employee simply can not provide that next level of service.   

2.  Do you have any formal training from the Institue of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (I.I.C.R.C)?

The IICRC is the major certifiying non profit agency over the carpet cleaning industry.  Every reputable carpet cleaner should have some sort of training in this field.  At Allklean, we have achieved over 10 certifications including, Carpet Cleaning Technician, Water Damage Technician, Odor Control Technician, Upholstery and Fabric Technician, and Applied Structural Drying, just to name a few. 

3.  Do you use truckmounted equipment?

Shaw industries, the worlds largest carpet manufacturer requires Hot Water Extraction or Steam Cleaning from a truckmounted unit to validate their carpet warranties.  If a carpet cleaner is not using this equipment, they are giving you 2nd best option.  Allklean ONLY uses truckmounted cleaning unless a customer specifically asks, or in areas that physically can not be reached with van mounted units. 

4.  Does your truckmounted equipment use a water cooled engine?

Not all Truckmounted cleaning is created equal.  In fact, the majority of truckmounted companies use machines with small, air cooled "lawn mower" types of engines.  These engines are inadequate in btu output to create enough heat, to sufficiently remove the oily soils from your carpeting.  The only option for them, is to then add more chemicals to compensate for the lack of heat.  Water cooled machines, capture much more btu's of the engine, and are generally much larger engines.  With the higher btu output, the machines are capable of reaching temperatures that are 16-32 times more efficient than an aircooled machine.   Allklean ONLY uses the largest water cooled, van mounted machine in the industry.  With water temperatures exceeding 230º F, we can use much less water cleaning agents than the competition.

5.  Does the cleaning system you use utilize softened water or purified water? 

This is often a much over looked aspect of cleaning.  However, softened water is a must in our region.  You see, the minerals in water, actually prevent the cleaning agents from having the proper surface tension to clean well.  At Allklean, we have a water softening system mounted right in our truck, so no matter what level of purity your water has, you get the cleanest water used on your carpets.
